Faction sympathy

Is there any way for newer characters to improve their faction sympathy with whatever faction other than by doing citycomm missions for them? My character isn't strong enough to take out his LE and start hunting down rival factions yet (as I understand that affects sympathy) and the citycomm missions get a little repetative pretty quickly.

It seems you can't raise the symp for whatever faction by doing something else but doing missions. You can raise the symp of the faction you are in by killing enemies tho. It used to be different before Evo 2.1

no i think thats wrong...just the way SL works now makes it pretty hard to switch

How are people with negative sympathy suppose to start doing missions?

I am not sure of any other way besides missions. Or when you take out your LE kill enemy opposing factions to that you wish to join. I have however been doing city merc missions for awhile now to gain sympathy with all faction. And now i am finally in the green with all of them. I feel pretty spiffy.
