Thinking of returning :)

I am probably from the rare generation of Neocron players now as you can guess by my join date, I have been here since the beta testing and NC1, after few years break im considering returning, although I like to ask a few questions first.

1. How stable is the game now? I.d assume since we are in 2.1, most of the random crashes and server disconnections and sync problems are resolved?

2. Does the server still resets every few days which ends up with you losing few days of skilling?

3. The game still contains a lot of memory leaks? cos as I recall druing NC1 i would start playing and after about an hour the game would stop to a crawl.. and I'll have to start.

4. Random Exploits fixed? for example I distinctively remember that I could access my apartment in by using a rock in middle of a desert, I have reported this expoit during beta testing, but still wasn't fix before I left.

5. Graphics and sound effects? The game had a pretty decent graphics at the time, but that was few years ago. but have you guys made improvements to catch up with the newer games? from character creation screen shots it looks to me that the graphics remained the same.

1. People still crash, for me it's like once every two hours especially if i alt+tab alot.

2. That doesn't happen anymore.

3. Not that I'm aware of, but I heard that there are still few memory leaks.

4. Most of these things have been fixed, but there are new bugs, like trashcans working as chairs ;).

5. Wasteland looks much better with new vegetation also shadows and lighting (or should I say, that NC has shadows now, before it didn't).
Many textures are still old with low resolution, but still it's much better now.

1. Crashes still here but no way as much as NC1, in fact they have gon a ways on stability although some people get more problems than others.

2. Last reset i saw was Back in NC1 but lets not mention that :rolleyes: doesn't happen anymore thank fuck.

3. Memory leaks still around for some although i have no real trouble unless i'm on a marathon session then i just log out close down restart whole proces less than 2 mins.

4. Random exploits/bugs if still in game are not a major issue they are working fixes most the time. Although yes you find the odd trash can you can sit in ;)

5. NC2.1 released only last week has updated all the weapons models aswell as improve drastically the Wastelands. Suggest you check out http://ng.neocron.com/index.php?id=100

The Trial is still there so give it a go :)
