We have created a thread for each weapon category in Neocron to allow easy communication between you and us. Here you can post your first impressions, experiences and suggestions. You can also ask us about changes – for bugs related to the combat area please use this [link] thread.

You will find updates to these threads in the original post as well as in the normal post list – that way you can easily keep yourselves up to date or participate in the discussion.

As we are currently in the Christmas period, we will from time to time present a new „toy“ that you should check out.

The skill gradient for nearly all the weapon systmes is too shallow.
Though the skill effects on imps is high (though not high enough so that variation is actualy meaningful), this still leaves the possibility of small reductions in combat skill giving very large increases in other skills.

A skill system more akin to that in NC1/2 would give better results.

Rifles are -in my opinion- too good for neocron right now. Versatile, powerful, with long range shooting capabilities, stealthy and many more. I think with recent changes, we immediately need somewhat larger maps for riflers to deploy their strategy, while we also need other gadget to be able to find those riflers. For instance a sniper hidden inside a bush, covered by a tree, is very hard to even take a guess where he is hiding.
Its actually a lot worse than droners are. At least with droners you see the drone. With rifles you cant see anything.
Those that have the luxury of a stealth tool, or are ppus are fine. the rest are shafted.

Make some tools, radars or searching drones as countermeasures for them or droners or we are all shafted :p

Oh and something else: FL is by far my favourite, and how the weapon should have been designed from day 1. I started using it, and I have never used anything else, apart the other amazing the redeemer

Redeemer surely needs a slight nerf, even as a rifler myself it's DoT is too much for it's TL. Either the RoF or damage output needs a tweak, though only a very slight one, we don't want it to disappear back into total obscurity as it is on retail.

Err who's whining? If weapons are too powerful/underpowered for their TL they need to be adjusted to be brought into line. Weapon damage should be proportional to TL, I don't see why that's so hard for you to understand. If you have a weapon that's too powerful for it's level all that happens is the entire server runs round with it until the next patch. Look what happened with the RoG in early patches.

Rifles give obscene combat ranks.
Just seen a pair of newbie spies, weilding the lazar rifles given to them in MC5.
10/2 rank.
10/2 when they start, so appaling rewards. ANd my PE gets a CR of 82 with a terminator which seems out of whack compared to the higher damaging other classes I see around.

In every post iv'e seen so far KK Have Nudged on that Tech level depends on weapon power, In that Case boost First love. It is not very good considering Tech level 114 , 1 off a creed compared to Healing light, thats to powerfull for its tech level. Boost First Love ! or nerf the creed down to it's General Tech level damage, I know it's a cannon fair enough, but cannons shouldent be overpowered as one of the best classes in the game gets to use it >.< :mad:

Please reduces damage of Ray of god and healing light...i have 972hp and good resistance and they still kills me in 3 hit... When i meet one of this i should just run away... Not fair
