View Full Version : FRE on char selection
An interesting one. We all hate fatals but learn to take them in our stride. However now on the test server I am getting a fatal every time I get to the character selection screen (Or when I click "Resume").
My character had just been fully poked with imps he has to drug to use, so not sure if it's an issue with that, or it could be that I took him to FA HQ and theres a problem with that zone somehow.
Anyone else got a similar problem at all?
FRE when i login/logout or zone anywhere ... it's great fun beta testing

Try deleting "models.tmp" in the testserver neocron folder. (It will be rebuild on next neocron startup, and if it was a faulty model for the char selection, that should fix it) Of course it can be something else, but that would be my first guess

Just tried that, it doesn't rebuild on launch (DX7 or DX9).
Full file check find no problems either.
try to reinstall your testserverinstallation.
If you still FRE after that, please post your error.log here.

You can force a precaching process by changing the option in nc\ini\system.ini into a 1, then start the game through the launcher. Though I'm not sure if it will help with this particular problem.

My bad - i deleted it in my NC2 folder, not my test server folder
