Massively overpowered (800 dmage per shot?)

Would like to test further, but prevented by the GR-camping PEs using these in PP3 (need a REZ)

Nearly all beam weapons are too powerful, but the rayguns and ravager are just silly.

The ROLH on a Pe or spy is evil,

Can get 150% cap, and about 70 freq.

.

Kills my holy s/d Hyb in 3 hits.

Tanks in 4 at the most. direct

Kills Mokoi in 5-6 hits :)

Mokoi in a GM suite with +255 to all skills ^^

Lol. I was straight up owning with the RoLH. I was doing about 150-160 per hit to people. It looks like more because of the bounce back. Also, people probably have terrible CON setups. I would FIX the whole doing 500-600 dmg then bouncing back to the actual damage it does thing.

Calm down people, it doesn't do that much damage, it's the bug dmg that scares people. Problem is, it can often know people's legs out when the bug occurs, thus, they are dead. (CAN'T MOVE, CAN'T WIN)

You couldn't be more right about set ups. I think right now the gun should be brought down a bit yes, but the problem isn't the gun, it is the set up people have. I get shot for about 150 a pop with that gun. I also get owned by the Ionic Shotgun, which does about 500ish a shot. And a Cursed Soul? If I manage to get hit by one, one clip can kill my 1.2k health tank.

Bouncey Health has never been a bug. Bouncey health has always been server lag of some sorts between armor resists and damage taken.

It is a shame that even after 5 years, people still think bouncey health is a bug. Get shot when your armor is broken and black. Health doesn't bounce becuase you don't get the resists from the armor when it is broken/black. Only when it is green.

Right click the gun before you exagerate damage. With an ammo mod, the ROHL does 400ish nergy and 100ish secondary damage.

My tank has 110 energy resist in my con with 80 Xray, and about 130 energy per body section. I only take on average 180ish a shot from the ROHL's energy and 30ish from the xray.

Its called a resist set up. Welcome to the test server.

tbh it has always been a bug in the sence that you shouldn't take the full damage then be given some back after an amount of time that is somewhat buggy. You can be killed before you get any of you're health back from resist if you're fighting a mob with very high damage output, and sometimes it won't give that health back at al (maybe due to amarican lag on my end I dunno). It should be a percent taken off before you take any damage like every other game that has this type of effect, but then this wouldn't be neocron would it heh

So the reason it kills GM's in 5-6 hits is because their 255 in each skill is a bad setup?

Based on some studies of the logs, I have a feeling i know what is wrong with beam weapons, specifically the rayguns.
They are non-locational weapons right, they don't hit any specifc hitbox. From the logs, it looks like it does this by hitting each of the 3 hitboxes individually. Hence they are doing 3x the intended damage!

That does actually make sense.

Yes, it does make sense. What about teh other weapons that are just as strong? Like any melee weapon, the shotguns, woc pistols, etc?

ROHL isn't the only culprit here.

Pretty sure the shotguns are locational - my tests certainly indicate so. Also, while say the ionic pistol is powerful per shot, its frequency is appaling, so I suspect that is approximatley as intended.

melee weaps have never been locational so they could be doing 3x damage as well
