Unfortunately we have not yet arrived at the point where the changes introduced by the Evolution 2.2 package can be judged really objectively. For this reason we will first focus on areas that do not reflect the initial concepts yet – of course we will also look at the areas you have to us about so far.

A short overview:
- H-C weapon aim speed will be raised
- PSI modules will have their requirements raised – a hybrid should only be able to use Blessed modules at best
- Implants (especially brain chips) will be adjusted to distribute the penalties more evenly

Unfortunately this also means that we can only take care of features like the nanite tool after these are done – please have some patience, the wait will be worth it!

... Priority: Bug-Fixings
These are only a few examples of areas we have to take care of – there is also a pile of smaller bugs that should be removed from the game as soon as possible. These changes currently have the highest priority, as they concern everyone and simply make some tests impossible. We will make an effort to keep you up to date so you can see what we are currently working on – however please understand that we can no post an update every day.

... new structure for the "First Impressions" thread
The "First Impressions" thread was only planned for one week. As the class and weapon threads will remain closed for a little longer, we want to provide you with a more comfortable forum where you can share your impressions with us and others – and you can rest assured that we are very interested to hear how you like the new changes. Please use this sub-forum to evaluate Neocron Evolution 2.2 (experiences, balancing topics, test reports, ...) – only the real bugs belong into the "Bug Reports" area – Carnage will be grateful :p

... delay of the balancing discussion threads
There will be a few more patches until the holidays to remove as many bugs from the game as possible. During the holidays, there will only be much reduced support from our side, therefore we decided to only take care of the balancing topics in the New Year so we can run the discussions with a complete and well rested staff.

... and lastly
We’d like to thank all players on the test servers. Many bugs were reported very quickly – there is a difference between our "lab conditions" and the tests in "real life" after all. We are processing the bugs as fast as we can and will deliver patches as soon as the changes are tested.

Please do not forget that it is a test server and be patient where bug fixings or features are concerned. We are trying to get reliable and objective test results as fast as possible – our priorities are set on that basis.

- PSI modules will have their requirements raised – a hybrid should only be able to use Blessed modules at best
Will this mean that PEs retain all the lvl 1 shields or not?
Also, I do so hope this means PEs, spies and hybrids can't use DB and rez.
- Implants (especially brain chips) will be adjusted to distribute the penalties more evenly

More evenly? Does this mean that the total nerfs will remain the same?
I still say that the existence of 'counter' skills on imps needs to go. Pure skills of each type on the respective imps is what I'd preffer. The NC1/2 imps system worked well, there's no need to change it for change's sake.

This means that all pistol PEs with names begining with D, will infact lose Judges :p

H-C weapon aim speed will be raised
coooool, this was needed :)

this means, hybrids will be still the overpowered in they're damageoutput? i mean i saw plenty holyheal-hybrids in the last days i was on.

omgyes!

yay. i was so waiting for that..

We’d like to thank all players on the test servers.
it was a pleasure to report as much as we can. firstly of all i was just shocked , when i first saw the rare streetrifle (YESBABE!), but the 2nd shock were the imps. next time, pls dont go that rought so fast *swear!*. BUT i was kinda like very happy about, to have a testserver back and see some moving on what will be next "maybe".

HAIL!

People with J too get included into this conversation.

I still believe that monks didn't need much of a nerf at all from the apu perspective. In NC1 alone, they were nerfed atleast 2 times, maybe 3. The game was almost balanced if some tiny things were fixed, HL was slowed down just a tiny bit, and the community was heard.

The re-vamp of the entire system doesn't help in a time where we go from a tiny community looking for something to get old players back and bring new one's in. This complete change would have been nice to have going into NC2....yeah.....in 2004!! When people were going OMGZ, WoWZ, LETZ ALL PLAYZ WoW! Unfortunately, NC2 was a game with everything pretty much the same outside of Dome of York.

Sometimes I want to punch something when it comes down to how KK has handled advertising. You have a great game, a "decent" community, material to cover the bugs, and a little bit of determination. I say give atleast a little effort on the advertising end. Yes, American's like me play this game, and yes a fair amount of people play outside Europe as well.

I agree with you there 8|

I think, however, that competent and efficient payment methods are even more important. What's the point of attracting a mass of people to to a shiny new Neocron when you have the likes of Click2Pay preventing them from paying?

Combat vehicle dmg output and aiming should be increased significantly, because currently both suck....
Raptor dmg and Masquito dmg are garbage as well, in fact I'd say that drones are useless at this point...

The testserver have been running for less than 10 days, and already do we have an overview of the things to come in the first patches towards better balance, lets have the patches before we start comlpaining about what consequences it may bring in addition to the downside of the game. ;)

Totally agree that KK shd put more effort into advertising, they have such a great product and it can never be compared to things like WoW, as NC is for adults and WoW is a playpen for the kids where parents park their them in the safe arms of Poppa Carebear while they go and play NC. :D

A short overview:
- H-C weapon aim speed will be raised

What about APU, Pistols and Rifle, in my oppinion they all need a speed increase from HC, Rifle/APU, Pistol. Meaning that HC needs a big one, rifles/apus need a moderate increase and pistols need a small increase.

As it is, people move so fast you cannot maintain a lock, and it does have time to reset before you can get a lock on again. Obviously more skill players have a better chance of hitting because they can maintain locks better than less skilled players.

Separate the men from the newbs.

I've personally had no problems aiming with any of the weapon classes, HC is a bit of a challenge, but nothing too impossible to make it an unviable class.

Speaking of advertising... Why the fuck isn't neocron on Newegg.com? Maybe even with a few extra bucks it could be one of the first things to show under pc games. I mean... isn't that the kind of advertising that would actually sell games?

The current aiming situation gives too much of an advantage for higher skilled players, some people simply can't aim with the current recticle speeds, it also shafts people without top notch comps, I can PvP fine at 15 fps or even less on 2.1, but getting a lock in 2.2 is impossible if you are juddering about the place.
This game is skill basd, but it needs to be fair.
Pistols are also shafted as aiming is still dependant on range, making decent aiming speeds only possible inside near melee range.

Then i think i must be backwards as i find tanks the easiest to aim with.
