I just noticed the "Next Observer" glider - an affordable and req-friendly way for everyone to reach the skies. Kudos for bringing flight to lower level chars KK. I myself never bothered with gliders as speccing for one would gimp my chars, but this one would do nicely! :D

And it can carry a passenger! :D

already got my rifle spy all specced to use one :lol: lommed him as soon as i saw them on the test serv.

well... its useless to implement such a aircraft when the other ones got unusable requirements Oo

who wants to fly a scout glider when the observer is nearly as fast as it, and can carry one more person AND has much lower requirements.

err no...the Scout Glider behaves far differently than the Observer. Drastic difference if you flown enough of them into Antis...Err flown enough of them. Observer is a little less responsive and not as much power as the scout.

I agree . Its the same flight ability as the Heavy class gliders..

a Bitch to take off.... Not as fast, and no where near as Manourable.

exactly. If you get up to speed in a scout, you can clear a zone in 3-4 seconds. No way in hell an observer could do that.

The only way I managed to take off with an observer was to hit a bump and launch myself into the air :lol:

Still doesn't look like vehicles are a viable option to me, over the last 6 hours on the test server I've got through about 5 mils worth of vehicles - that's even in DX7 :(

the observer is that bad? i made a flight from DRT to MB with excellent speed thoght.

just a thought but maybe a low-req glider isn't such an amazing idea.. now droners don't even need to gimp themselves at all to get on a mountain you need a glider to get on :/ and no, the answer isn't EVERYONE NEEDS TO SPEC FOR GLIDERS THEN :p

Yeah that's a point, the other day I could get to pretty much anywhere with my glider. I was sitting on NC, Regants, DoY and Canyon Facility roofs for a while but of course I didn't see anyone.. The amount of mountains you can hide on around OPs is huge too.
