Ive checked every npc in for armour and ive found only 1 bit of armour that gives +xray(not inc spy pa) is there going to be anymore xray armour of just that 1 bit of xray armour?

Some of the underwear has xray. Anyway, with the new armour system, armour and resists work slightly differently, you can get away with less armour from what I've seen so far.

thought just underwear, the lowbe belts, the crahn armor, imps, spy pa giving xray resists.

Crahn armour (at least blessed shelter) doesn't add xray.

Shelter armour gives energy/fire, spirit gives energy/xray I think.

I have to admit I'm really not a fan of the new armor system.

the new armor system sucks tbh.

but a comment that could actually be considered because KK will not come back from their change that they like even though their customers dont like half of what htey've done... seems backwards there...
WHY is there no PSR ON ANY ARMOR? you said it would be implemented, and i only see it on head implants. fuck that. put it on armor.

That's not quite correct. Besides the mentioned SPY power armor and Crahn Spirit and Blessed Spirit series, you got the Ionic Cotton Underwear, Ionic Nylon Underall, etc.

Is there now a seperate armour box so to speak for armour and "clothes" like the, err, ionic underwear?

The underwear/all, as well as all new Suits, has to be placed into the new Power Armor Slot.

I think a better system would be to make PA/underwear and belts cover all hit boxes - in retail the best defence that a lot of classes have comes from the use of heavy belts, as it stands on the TS that leaves the majority of locations very vulnerable, including the main PvP target, the legs. Fine, balance the armour values of the three locations with different pieces for those locations, but there needs to be greater 'overall' protection which would come from having the belts and PA apply to all 3.

The resists coming from Underwear and PA is added to each Hitzone.
So e.g. having Fire and Enr covered by the hitzone specific armor you can add a little X-Ray to all 3 via the underwear. I'd say that's enough, because the Antigamma Bones add +41 to XRR Skill, so it's easy for everyone to skill about 76 XRR (which is a minimum for main resistances as ENR, PCR and XRR).
The Rest can be done by shields and Nanites.

That topic also came up over at our german board. Theres one point that has to be clear before, discussing about specific changes to the armor system, which is: Do we want an armor system which makes it possible to have a gapless Setup or do we want a system, which forces you to leave a gap at least in one DMG Type?

tbh, when i saw that... i was laughing my a$$ off, i thought of a guy wearing all the underwear over his normal cutton. imagine that with a diving-suite :D

how about the possibility of wearing undewear AND PA, so in effect add another Armor Slot so you can put on underwear, over that wear normal Amor and then put a Powerarmor over it all.

So we have to pick between PA and undies right? The dev's explination for why you can't wear PA OVER underwear is what exactly? Who though up that name, and when are they clearing out their desk?

Seriously though PA has an "image" thing on it, cotton undies DON'T I wanna wear WOC pa cos it looks cool so I must gimp myset up.

Yerps sounds like KK thinking to me!

IMO Remove whatever your letting the dev's smoke and gimmi xray armour!

The PA vs Underwear visibility issue is a good thing IMO, as it allows some degree of determining your opponents weakness.

For example if you see a monk wearing PA then you know his weakness is 0 armor for fire/poison in head or legs, and probably torso also (unless he used a heavy belt)

Regarding XRAY , the lack of armor issue is very tiny , since your optimal armor setups requires you to spec 3 times as much pierce/energy then you spec of xray.

Remember a 2.2 xray modded weapon will hit you for 300 energy/pierce and only 100 xray ....totally different to retail where the mod has the much larger portion of the dmg.

Same applies to fire/poison weapons except that these can also be dealt as primary dmgs from APUS , ie: 400 fire dmg from fire apoc or 350 poison dmg from poison beam.

Thus fire/poison armors are of a higher importance then xray , allthough still lesser then energy/pierce.

In light of all this the lesser availability of xray armor compared to the others seems in order with the available dmg outputs.

Since even if there were more available , using them would probably gimp your setup, unless the only thing your going to fight against is xbow (which does 60 xray/40 energy)

Xray armour is hard to come by in 2.1 anyway, the only stuff for tanks is the gamma bones and a crappy belt. So you're still going to be speccing a lot of it anyway.

As for PA, if you don't use the underwear, then you're going to be deficient in other areas anyway too, which you're going to have to spec points for.
And regarding the nerfs on PA, I think we've made ourselves clear on that point anyway.
