I would like to announce the upgrade of the Neocron Wiki to version 2, including a new customised neocron skin, and the access to the Techhaven Network Item database using the new Techhaven Network API system developed by Brammers. This new extension will allow the placement of any items from the item database into a wiki article, with the images themselves updated as the database changes. Instructions on how to use the new extension can be seen [[here (http://wiki.techhaven.org/Neocron_Wiki:Item_DB_Commands)]].
Further changes to the wiki, have included a newly designed front page, and also new admins to help with the day to day running of the wiki - further information about the admins can be found [[here (http://wiki.techhaven.org/Neocron_Wiki:Administrators)]].
The next time your sat clicking refresh waiting for a forum post on the official forums, why dont you add an article to the wiki - theres a nice list of pages which can be edited by just going to [[here (http://wiki.techhaven.org/Special:Wantedpages)]] and clicking. Any problems with the wiki or want to know how to do anything then just post on the wiki forums [[here (http://forum.techhaven.org/viewforum.php?f=91)]].

Anyway, what is still needed is the "pure" item icon and a simple text link to the item DB. Instead of doing lengthly explanations, let me link some pages out of the Anarchy Online Wiki to show why these things are needed:
treatment guide (http://wiki.aodevs.com/wiki/Treatment_Guide), where you can also see an advanced feature, the armor "setup"
weapon choice for soldiers (http://aowiki.eu/index.php/Soldier:Waffen_wahl) (in german), where you can see smaller size icons in use so they fit better into the flow of the text.
I really like the new look, lets hope people make use of all the hard work!
I for one will be reigistering an account tonight so i can edit and add to the site.

Darkana, that request will be added to the list of features requested on the THN, as I feel that it would enhance the wiki slightly having a small picture infront of it - we already have it possibly to have just a link to an item with a jquery popup at the end (Check out the page on outposts for more information).
And riddle, thats great to hear, in fact thats all I wanted to hear from people - hopefully we can start to really build up the level of information within the wiki!

Only getting the hang of it tbh :p reading around the subject, made a couple of minor edits so far until I figure out the way it all works!!

I have just tested this and when Im logged out I can see all the other pages - what internet browser are you using and does it say what your IP is in the top right corner?

This will happen if you click on a red link that doesn't have an article yet. If you click on a gold link you should be ok. Let me or Delphi know, if this is the case or not.

Ok getting the hang of this :)
Added several jones missions and the Proto-Epic so far, not just moved the THN versions but ran through each one to check it.
I like the interaction with this format! Good to be able to add and update stuff rather than see old sites go out of date.

We should try to get it used more often, as most people in the game keep asking questions that could have been found easily on the wiki. Maybe some scripts that advertise ingame, or maybe get some gm to put it up in the launcher?
I mean, for those that benefit the most from it, they don't usually read these forums...
