Demolitionist

So far I have 3 events planned for the evening which have been tested and proved to be quite good fun, while not being too tricky. There will be some trivial prizes but nothing exotic, sorry.

To enter into the events please send me an e-mail ingame (character name = Radical Demolitionist) listing the characters participating and at which events, I will reply to confirm your entry and update this thread with the teams participating, so if you are representing a clan please say which if you'd like me to mention them.

The events are as follows:

- Knockout Rhino Tournement
THE MAIN EVENT
NEXT Rhino 4x4 Chaincraft V.2 Required* (lasercannon version)
Single Elimination, Rhino vs Rhino, Winner is declared by last rhino standing.
Teams can be up to 4 different runners.
Vehicles will start at set locations facing away with their turrets also pointing in the direction of the vehicle, the countdown is issued on zone-chat and it's last man standing within a set area, kill or be killed.
Battles will be strictly rhino vs rhino, runners may not use their own weapons, however repairers are allowed as long as they are unle'd.

NEXT Heavy Assault Scorpion Trike V.2 Required*
Single Elimination, 3 rounds.
Runners start at opposite ends at the straight in J-01 facing each other at a long distance, then follow the markings towards each other at full speed, then take aim at each other (not the vehicle) engaging in a barrage of rockets, once past each other the fight is over, a point is scored if you remain alive at the end of the round, another point is awarded for a sucessfull kill.

Contestants are enclosed in a fighting arena, they start a short distance apart in the center facing away from each other, a countdown is made on zone-chat, engines engaged, first to kill the opposition or destroy their motor wins.

Sunday, 18th January 2009, 8PM UK-time, 9PM Central European Time, 3PM East USA (EST), 2PM central, 12PM Pacific. Come along, you know you want to.
Late Registrations, may or may not be accepted on the day depending on the number of teams/runners entering.
The event will kick off with the Motor Mayhem Clash, followed by drinks and refreshments with light entertainment in the form of a local stand-up comedian. Then a little Scorpion Jousting and the Main Event.

Protection
I will be looking to hire additional security to patrol the zone for the duration of the event, they will be looking for potential cheating in the form of snipers and anyone else lurking around looking to cause trouble :-)
This will be in addition to the security on hand at each events.


* = vehicles are brought entirely at their owners responcibility, security will be hired in effort to prevent vehicles being attacked by hostiles.

if someone with barter is willing to help, I'll supply rhinos against cost price. (without barter 250kish)

maybe the rhino challenge would be more interesting to do in a terrain with lots of cover? otherwise its just the gunner with the highest h-c/t-c combination that wins

check the area i labelled with an X in J-01, it's not got a whole lot of cover but its certainly not completely flat.. will have to see what can be done on event day to try and close off the area used for the battles. If not a free reign across that corner of the map should work fine.

Due to a lack of participants and some not knowing soon enough the event has been delayed by 2 weeks (there is an event next weekend I hear). There are currently 3 teams signed to compete in the knockout rhino event. Seeing as there was no interest in the other 2 tournement I will be dropping them. Also a slight rulechange, repairers will not be allowed during the fights.. there is no restriction on how many teams a clan may enter however.

If you are caught entering multiple characters into the event, both teams will be removed. Gunner only, or driver only.

Prizes now stand as:
1st - MC5 Herc, Master Hunter Trophey and Hoverbomber.
2nd - Rhino, 249x repair nanites.
3rd - Rhino
