As some of you might have already heard, the insolvency proceeding of Reakktor Media’s assets has been abrogated. I don’t have to tell you how relieved we are and on behalf of the whole team I would like to thank you for your support, your loyalty and all the congratulations we have received from you.
The first question you will ask, for good reason, is what will now happen to Neocron. First of all I would like to apologize for remaining silent for such a long time and for not informing you earlier about the insolvency abrogation. I still want to avoid serving you half-baked facts and only speak out when I actually have something to say. As I have already stated in my previous post, the focus was set to Black Prophecy as this project is crucial for the preservation of the company and its jobs, but also to ensure the continuation of the Neocron project. In this case Neocron had to take the back seat as harsh this might sound for some of you. Against all odds and some voices, who advised us to simply let Neocron rest in peace, we came out on top and kept Neocron alive. Now, as we are independently operational again, the primary goal is to get the business processes back up and running. Among others, this includes the reactivation of the previously suspended payment options, like e.g. PayPal and to make further payment options available if required. Though, the payment will only be re-activated after we have put Neocron back in the right way with technical and content-wise updates, thus we are planning an according patch. To enable a long-term future for Neocron, but also to lay foundation for a possible Neocron 3, we consider these measures as necessary. We assume to be able to provide the reactivation of the payment options and the deployment of said patches within the next three months. yay, good news on the patch, so the rumours were true after all
 and may I humbly request a 3rd party anticheat tool be integrated with neocron? or at least currents cheats be disabled (as far as I hear it's simply a matter of locking some files again) also, maybe get the developers to actually talk to the community in a discussion, the community is small enough now And I assume the fee will remain 5 euros a month like it was before the insolvency?

Kirk, how long has NC being going for? A lot longer than a lot of some of the bigger MMORPG's out there. In otherwords, don't ever listen to the words that say NC is dead ever.

huzzah!
The fallen shall rise again. I have some suggestions and ideas left over from my own MMORPG we started making, but a game came out before with similar ideas.. bah I say! got any space for more devs?

this is a great news... I hope that you guys won't be owned by some other publisher like 10tacle... I also interested in the NC 3, make cross platform this time, please! at least MAc OX and linux will be just fine...

So it's going back to pay2play for all accounts?
Either way what's going to change, there's a few patches here and there again? What about the population, getting new players in, -proper advertisement. What i'm trying to say, what's going to be different this time, or will it be the same old game with a low population? Not trying to be negative or 3rd degree anyone from KK who decides to answer, i'd just like to know if it will be anything worth coming back to. |
