Through alleys i haven't walked for a long time, passing walls smudged with graffity. There was a spot where those drawings just didn't seem right. And yes: there was a tiny gap in the concrete wall. I need to confess: my first sin is curiosity. I tried hard to learn more about that gap, but had to stop and go get a stiletto in a nearby A+W. Right: There was something halfway up. Metal. Something interacting with my hack tool. Push the nanites across the display, hear a cracking and a muffled sound: a door opened. Hey!

I jumped inside, following a corridor. A window showed some laboratory, a man sitting at a desk. He was looking quite busy, but he noticed me, giving me a reluctant wink to come in. A door opened sliding, i stepped inside.

"No unwarranted access here", he yelled.

"The door was open..", was my lame excuse.

"No it wasn't", he replied. "But, well", the scientist said, now somewhat placably, "maybe you're not that awkward at all. Maybe you could do me a favour."

I noticed a nameplate at his lab coat: "No problem, Dr. Abramov, i'm a freelancer."

The Doctor sat back in his office chair: "We'll see. I am in need of some very rare chemical substances."

Nodding, i said: "No problem at all. But i will have expenses, costs, what about that?"

Abramov turned to his desk, opened a drawer and grabbed a gun. He put the colt on the desktop. "Take a look at this weapon. This is your payment."

"A rare one, Dr. Abramov. But i will have to find out it's value."

The scientist seemed to be satisfied. "Very well, come back as you know more. But there's work waiting for me. Excuse me for now." I left.

[COLOR=PaleTurquoise]Here's my question to you: What's the value of this gun? I have to confess, i've never seen this special model. Do you think it could be a fake? Should i return to Abramov and try to find out more?[/COLOR]

to anyone else: this little story was meant to show you that neocron is a playground for all of you. more than any other mmo on the planet. neocron is tiny, under-developed and having a unique community: i bet KK workers and GMs are 10% of NCs population. yes, neocron is the largest counter-strike map in the world, if you want it to be. or a drama of shakespearean dimensions. up to you, folks. i, for one, like to explore. and talk about it.

I applaud any effort to get roleplaying going, I'm not a fan myself but I enjoy reading about it sometimes. But the chariot's diner forum is meant for this sort of thing, even though it is kinda inactive now, and would have lessened out of character replies
